I'm not a beer snob - I'm a beer lover. I mean, I love all beers, but they ain't created equal. I wouldn't kick a Toohey's New or a VB outta bed, but they won't make my eyes sparkle like a Murray's, a Knappstein, or a Moo Brew. Mmmmmm...
Beer enthusiasts rejoice, Mecca is close at hand! Kingsford's Liquor on Parade - aside from having a truly awesome name - has arguably the best selection of local boutique beers in town (honourable mentions go to Camperdown Cellars and Sackville in Rozelle). It has all the above, plus more (like Grand Ridge, Little Creatures, Crackenback, Baron's, Monteith, etc). And at prices a dollar or two cheaper than in Surry Hills.
You'd usually have to peddle all over town to collect these unique, delicious beers. Trust me, I know (you should see my bruised little legs). This is one-stop shopping, and an infinitely more charming abode than that big, ugly Dan Murphy's across the road.
Liquor on Parade holds an annual beer festival, and 5 percent of sales go to support the South Coogee club. You can buy beer and sponsor a struggling footy player at the SAME time? This place is heaven.
