On an unassuming part of Liverpool Street in Darlinghurst, there was a spot. It wasn't the kind of spot you'd expect to find around these parts. It was urine free, for one, and stocked with United Bamboo, Nom de Guerre and A.P.C, for two.
Under the direction of owner Dion, Our Spot brought in new, hard-to-find labels from offshore, while supporting local talent such as Rittenhouse on the racks and WON magazine on the counter.
When Our Spot closed its doors in early 2009, it seemed that a future of double-A spandex and triple-X pleather awaited. Thankfully, those with a net connection are saved from such a wardrobe fate - Our Spot remains open online as a men's only affair. Fingers crossed they'll expand into women's apparel as well, but until then we're happy to be well-dressed men.
