You can tell that Puf'n'stuff is unimposing and slightly less pretentious than other vintage clothing stores, because firstly, they don't actually pretend to sell vintage clothing. It's second-hand and recycled, thank you very much. Which is kinda refreshing, since the word vintage is used far too freely and incorrectly these days.
A point proven just the other day when we saw a "Vintage Sportsgirl Dress" on eBay. Um, "Vintage Sportsgirl"? Isn't that an oxymoron?
Secondly, the clothes are reasonably priced, which means you can deck yourself out in an entire outfit for less than $150.
Thirdly, it's not on Crown Street, so you're not paying a real-estate premium for your clothes.
Which is totally what you need when you're on a Sportsgirl budget, but looking for something Sportsgirl isn't likely to start mass-producing until 2009.
