Based upon the book written by Ian Curtis' wife Deborah, CONTROL documents the relationships with both Curtis's wife and girlfriend, his battle with epilepsy and the quick rise to success with his band Joy Division (formerly known as Warsaw). The movie does an amazing job of turning anyone from vaguely knowing Joy Division's songs into instant fans, (the sort who bolt from the cinema to download the tracks).
Shot beautifully in black and white, and directed by first-time feature film maker Anton Corbijn, who came from music videos and still photography, every shot is worthy of a frame grab for your iPod or PC.
