From the crazy, nonsensical cartoonists at the Adult Swim network in The States, TOM GOES TO THE MAYOR is one of the weirdest yet. So weird, that it divided Adult Swim viewers more than any cartoon in the networks' history. People either loved it or absolutely despised it. Me? I loved it, so was thrilled when they released all 31 episodes on this handy three disc DVD set.

TOM GOES TO THE MAYOR is a cartoon created by comedians Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, along with some help by Mr Show's Bob Odenkirk. Each episode features family man Tom Peters approaching the town mayor with an idea. The Mayor then approves the idea and completely ruins it before the episode is over.

Laugh (or complain about this show on the internet like all the other haters) as Tom tries to open a World War II themed pizza parlour, runs as Vice Mayor of Hobo Town, mourns the death of his son by eating pudding and replaces the town's grass with green spray-on carpet. There are tonnes of cameos too - David Cross, Tenacious D, John C. Reilly, Paul Reubens and Sir Mix-A-Lot all pop up over the course of the two series.
